  • Breakfast at the campsite.
  • 4x4 departure to the Atakor massif, heart of the Hoggar.
  • Discovery of impressive granite peaks and desert lights.
  • View over Ihaghen, Laperrine Peak.
  • Drive across the Akar Akar plateau.
  • Stop at Afilale guelta, short walk.
  • Arrival at Assekrem refuge, dormitory-style accommodation.
  • Lunch.
  • Visit of the Hermitage of Charles de Foucauld around 4 pm.

  • Breakfast at the bivouac
  • 4x4 drive south

  • Bivouac in Agharghar wadi
  • Dinner and overnight under the stars or tents.

• Day 3AGHARGHAR - EL-GHESSOUR - TIN-AKACHEKIR

  • Morning walk through tamaris and acacias
  • 4x4 crossing of wide regs to In-Abeggi
  • Visit of El Ghessour rock art and hidden guelta
  • Lunch
  • Drive to Tin Akacheker
  • Walk on wind-shaped dunes
