Stay plan

• Day 1Arrival and First Saharan Immersion

  Arrival at Timimoun airport, welcome by our local team, and transfer to the Dar Maamoura guesthouse. Room check-in and free time to relax after the journey. At the end of the day, a short walk in the dunes near the guesthouse to admire a first Saharan sunset. Return to Dar Maamoura for a traditional dinner. Overnight stay at the guesthouse. (The schedule for this first day will be adapted to the flight's arrival time).

• Day 2Kali, Aghlad, Ksar Kadour, and Beni Aïssi

  After a hearty breakfast, set off to discover the region of Kali, followed by a continuation toward the landscapes of Aghlad. Enjoy an open-air picnic lunch in a natural setting. In the afternoon, visit Ksar Kadour and discover its traditional architecture. At the end of the day, head to Beni Aïssi to watch a magnificent sunset. Return to Dar Maamoura for a festive dinner accompanied by traditional entertainment. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.

• Day 3Old Ksar of Timimoun, CAPTERRE, and the Palm Groves of Tala

  After breakfast, set off to discover the old ksar of Timimoun, its narrow streets, and its earthen architecture. Visit CAPTERRE (the Algerian Center for Earthen Built Cultural Heritage), dedicated to preserving the ksour and transmitting traditional earthen construction techniques. Continue toward the Tala region. Enjoy a picnic lunch, followed by the exploration of the ksar and the palm groves of Tala. In the late afternoon, head to the dunes to admire the sunset. Return to Dar Maamoura for dinner. Overnight stay at the guesthouse. (The visit to CAPTERRE is subject to its opening days and hours).

• Day 4Ighzer, Foggaras of Ouled Saïd, and Dinner Under the Stars

  After breakfast, head toward the site of Ighzer. Continue to the cultivated gardens of the Ouled Saïd region to discover the foggaras, ingenious ancestral systems for capturing and distributing water. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a palm grove, followed by a return to Dar Maamoura for some rest. In the afternoon, set off in an all-terrain vehicle for an excursion through the dunes. Stop at a panoramic viewpoint to watch the sunset. Continue to a desert camp for a traditional merdoum dinner under the stars. Return to Dar Maamoura. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.

• Day 5Traditional Market of Timimoun

  Immerse yourself in the local atmosphere by strolling through the aisles of the traditional market of Timimoun. Amidst stalls of fragrant spices, local crafts, Gourara carpets, and pottery featuring ancestral designs, it is the ideal place to observe the daily life of the locals and pick up some souvenir shopping. Free time before transferring to the airport for your return flight.
