Stay plan

• Day 1Arrival in Djanet & Exploration of the Hérir Valley

  • Meet and greet at Djanet Airport by our Tuareg team.
  • Transfer and installation at the bivouac.
  • Departure towards the Hérir Valley, a spectacular gorge offering breathtaking scenery — winding wadis, lush palm groves, and striking ochre landscapes.
  • Observation of the local fauna and flora in an area classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (1982) and a Biosphere Reserve (1986).
  • The site is also recognized as a Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in bivouac.

• Day 2Essendilène Canyon & Nomadic Camp

  • Departure to the famous Essendilène Canyon, known for its impressive rock formations and cliffs.
  • Stop for a short rest amidst tamarisks, palm trees, oleanders, and natural pools (gueltas).
  • Visit of a nomadic camp to discover traditional desert life.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in bivouac at Erg Admer.

• Day 3Bordj El Houwass, Dider & Tikobaouine

  • Drive towards Bordj El Houwass.
  • Stop at Dider, a vast granite slab covered with prehistoric engravings depicting scenes of ancient wildlife.
  • Visit of the Tilélline sites and the Tedjleh Ekrar rock paintings.
  • Continue to the impressive arches of Tikobaouine and explore the deep Touia Gorges.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in bivouac.

• Day 4The Stone Forest of Adaik

  • Discovery of the stone forest of Adaik, a spectacular site with monumental rock formations shaped by erosion.

• Day 6Djanet City Tour & Departure
