Upon arrival at Bukhara Airport, transfer to the hotel for breakfast and rest. At 2:00 PM, depart for a visit to Khiva, Itchan-Kala, a true treasure of oriental architecture. You will explore the Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasa, Kalta Minor, and the Kounya Ark fortress, which houses the Juma Mosque, the Throne Room, the Mint, and the Chancellery. Next, visit the Mohammed Rakhim Madrasa, the Juma Mosque with its carved wooden columns, followed by lunch. After a free lunch, continue your walk to explore the Poi-Kalian complex, including the Kalian Minaret (1127), Kalian Mosque (15th century), and Miri-Arab Madrasa (16th century). Return to the hotel for dinner at a traditional restaurant and overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart at 9:00 AM for the outskirts of Bukhara to visit Chor Minor, famous for its four minarets. Then, travel 6 km to the Summer Palace of the Emirs of Bukhara, Sitorai Mohi Khosa, to explore the elegance of the last Bukhara dynasty. After a free lunch, visit the Ark Fortress (17th-20th century), Bolo-Khaouz Mosque (early 18th century), Ismail Samani Mausoleum (9th-10th century), Tchachma-Ayoub Mausoleum (14th-16th century), and the Prophet Job’s spring. Transfer to Kagan train station for the train to Samarkand. Arrive in Samarkand at 5:20 PM, transfer, and check-in at ARBA Hotel. Dinner at a traditional restaurant and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, visit the Afrosiab Museum, an ancient site in Samarkand dating back to the 6th century BC. The site reveals layers from various periods, from Achaemenids to Greeks, as well as Islamic monuments from the 8th century. You'll see artifacts from excavations, including a 667 mural depicting ambassadors offering gifts to the king of Samarkand. Next, visit the Mausoleum of Khodja Doniyor, a revered site for Muslims, Christians, and Jews. The day continues with the remains of Ulugh Beg's observatory, where precise astronomical observations were made in the 15th century before the site was destroyed. The visit ends with a traditional paper-making workshop.
